“He’s Clearly Stupid”: Edge Takes a Jibe at John Cena as He Accepts a Major Challenge for RAW Next Week

The United States Championship match at the Elimination Chamber caught several eyes. The WWE superstars who participated in the match gave their one hundred percent to win the title. However, Austin Theory reigned supreme and defended his title against the other five superstars. Surprisingly, he issued an open challenge, which Edge accepted by taking a shot at John Cena.

The post show press conference saw Edge confirming his presence at RAW next week. He accepted the challenge in his ‘Rated R’ character by bringing John Cena into the mix.

Edge said, “Before we go, we saw a kid with shades because it’s like very bright and man a open challenge? We are in Ottawa on Monday and I haven’t wrestled there in 17-18 years. I haven’t had gold in a while, I mean I retired as World Heavyweight Champion. He was a Cena fan, so he is clearly stupid.”

He added, “I respect Cena because of his work ethic, but I think I don’t know that if Austin Theory has it and may be we prove that Monday when we accept the US Open Challenge, Championship challenge, whatever the hell he wants to call it. I think I need to probably kick his teeth down his throat. So that’s gonna happen on Ottawa if he accepts.”

This news certainly brought a sense of joy among the fans and lightened up the press conference. Also, this has put ‘The A-Town Down’ star on notice on RAW.
