It is no secret that Dwayne Johnson is currently one of the most bankable Hollywood actors in the world. Interestingly, his movies gross millions of dollars and he has also won several awards.

Even though The Rock has a higher chance of winning multiple awards this year, he might lose to a $95 million worth actress. Moreover, a couple of months back, this top celebrity had outranked him over a major title.

Billboards shared a list of celebrities nominated for the People’s Choice Awards 2022. Moreover, Dwayne Johnson is nominated into two categories, i.e. ‘The male TV star of 2022’ and ‘The comedy TV star of 2022.’

However, apart from Johnson, there is one more strong contender in ‘The comedy TV star of 2022’ category, Selena Gomez. Gomez previously took away the title of the influential celebrity in September of this year.

Similarly, now The Rock has now another title to watch out for which the 30-year-old singer and actress can take way. They nominated DJ and Gomez for their roles in the ‘Young Rock’ and ‘Only Murders in the Building’ series on the small screen.

In September 2022, Science Happiness shared a report in which they stated the Top 10 influential celebrities. Surprisingly, The People’s Champion, who is seen influencing people, was number 2 with 36% positive tweets. However, Gomez took the number 1 spot, with 38% positive tweets.

It seems DJ has found a new challenger in Hollywood who is taking him over. The fans and critics appreciate Gomez’s work in ‘Only Murders in the Building. Nevertheless, The Brahma Bull’s series based on his life is also admired by both the wrestling and acting world.

Why Dwayne Johnson is having a light acting schedule in early 2023?

Since The Rock made his debut in Hollywood. He loves to work in different films and work hard to make a mark in the film industry. The wrestler even gave up his career in the WWE for the big screen.

However, The Rock seems to have some other plans for 2023. Usually, Johnson signs several movie projects and had a busy schedule which he nowadays prefers over any wrestling plans made for him. But now it seems he is looking to make a WWE return in early 2023.

After the success of Black Adam recently, Johnson hasn’t talked about signing any new movies. Surprisingly, there are heavy rumors of him returning to WWE to have a match with Roman Reigns for Undisputed WWE Universal Champion at WrestleMania 39.

Nevertheless, The Rock has only one movie announced, i.e. Red One, a sequel to Red Notice but will have no relation to the first part. Apart from it, there are several movies in plans but they confirm nothing about filming anything in early 2023.
