‘A Far Superior Actor To The Rock’: Fans Acknowledge As Dwayne Johnson’s Greatest Wrestler-To-Actor Ever Reputation Gets Tarnished

Many WWE superstars have worked in a Hollywood films several times. One of those is Dwayne Johnson who went mainstream and became a worldwide Hollywood action hero.

But he isn’t the only one who has made this transition, from a wrestler to an actor. Recently, a 49-year-old director argued that another WWE superstar was a better actor that The Rock. And its not John Cena.

Recently, Knives Out director Rian Johnson spoke with The Atlantic about his new film, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. He praised WWE Legend Dave Bautista, who plays Duke Cody for the Knives Out Sequel, for his acting. Moreover, he called Batista a better WWE star turned actor.

Johnson said, “I absolutely 100 percent agree. And I think somebody like [Paul Thomas Anderson] is going to give him a real part and is gonna look like a genius. As a person, Bautista is genuinely, immediately vulnerable when you meet him, and that’s what I was excited about.”

He added, “This is someone who has the physical trappings of someone who would play it big, but he actually brings sensitivity to the role.”

Batista’s movies have always differed completely from what The Rock and Cena do. Cena even once complimented the 6-time world champion for his selection of scripts.

Furthermore, it seems several people also agreed with Rian Johnson’s statement. They took to social media share their reactions over the same.

Batista doesn’t consider The Rock as an actor

While speaking to Tampa Bay Times in 2019, The Animal shared that he thought of DJ as a movie star, but not an actor. He also asked not to be compared to the rock as an actor.

Batista is happy for the success Johnson has achieved and also praised him for his stardom. However, he would never “consider him a great actor“.
