A few years in 2005, Dwayne Johnson appeared for an interview with Playboy. It was shortly after, ‘The Great One’ played a gay character in the movie ‘Be Cool’ for which many praised him. However, at the time he was in great shape and the host asked him whether he used steroids anytime in his life.
Johnson was transparent on the matter and shared the details without any hesitation. The Rock said, “Once, in college, for a month and a half. I had no idea what I was taking, which is the idiocy of college kids. I thought I was taking steroids. For all I know it was Tylenol. It didn’t help me on the field.”
Tylenol is basically paracetamol consumed with headache & pain relief. Therefore, it is safe to say DJ never took the power serum. The WWE legend is hitting the gym since he was around 12-13 years old, but always chooses the hardest path to achieve results.
Furthermore, the 10-time world champion also shared his views on steroid use in professional wrestling. He said, “A lot of guys were doing steroids back then, and some guys still do them. TV audiences aren’t blind. They can look at a wrestler’s physique and tell the difference.”
The Black Adam star added, “I was lucky to be blessed with genetics, and I never wanted to be the biggest guy out there. Bodybuilding doesn’t interest me as much as athletic training does.”
Dwayne Johnson was the hardest worker in the room back in 2005 too!
It is no secret that The Rock starts his day early unless it’s a cheat day when he stays a bit lazy all day. However, back in 2005 also Johnson followed a strict plan while making a name in Hollywood.
When asked about his routine, DJ said to Playboy, “Absolutely. I get up at 5:30 every morning and train for an hour or more (and) I love that. I watch my diet, too, though I am a big junk food junkie (and) I don’t fuck around. One day a week I’ll eat two large pizzas and two dozen doughnuts.”

The Rock, “But to do that you have to train religiously so your metabolism is conditioned enough that when you eat that stuff, the carbs, fat and sugar get absorbed. If I kept eating pizza and doughnuts on the second and third days, that would be trouble.”
