$177 Million Worth Dwayne Johnson-Starrer Hollywood Movie Exposed as a Bodybuilding “Horror” Show

The movies starring Dwayne Johnson are blockbusters before even they hit the theaters. Several of his movies are family-friendly films and we often see the parents along with their kids at theaters to watch the same. However, it was not the same case with one of his films, Baywatch, released in 2017.

Recently, a fan shared a tweet stating the difference in the physical looks of male stars in the Baywatch series and movies. He shared a picture of two Baywatch posters, one starring David Hasselhoff and the other picture having Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. 

The tweet says, “The old and new Baywatch are a really good example of how bodies of male leads in Hollywood have shifted over time Genuinely believe this is unhealthy”

However, comedian Kath Barbadoro had many harsh views of it. She wrote, “I think the people on the right look cool but in like a Cronenbergian body horror way. looking like that should be reserved for freaks and perverts and stuff like regular body mods are, not mainstream movie stars”

She shared a couple of more tweets in which she mentioned Zac Efron’s extreme commitment to having a perfect physique for the movie, like, “people who get their eyeballs tattooed”

However, in her last tweet, she slammed the movie. She wrote, “once again begging someone to make a horror movie about bodybuilding”

The Rock’s version of Baywatch did have some mixed reviews upon its release back in 2017. However, they have an IMDB rating of 5.5/10 after the reviews given by the fans and critics.

However, five years after they released the film, some of the fans have the same views as they did back in 2017. Additionally, the film was made with a budget of $69 million and earned a whopping $177 million at the worldwide box office.

Dwayne Johnson may return to WWE in early 2023

The Rock vs Roman Reigns is one of the dream matches everybody wants to see happen. Reigns’ run as The Head of the Table has clearly made a possible match much more exciting.

The Brahma Bull has only one movie scheduled for the future, and that is Red One. After the massive success of Black Adam, DJ hasn’t signed any more new movie projects in bulk. This is a major sign he could return to confront The Tribal Chief in early 2023.

However, there is another part to this story too. Johnson’s massive newly purchased football league XFL is set to debut in February next year. Maybe that is one of the reasons he has kept a light schedule ahead of 2023.

Other movies that are currently in talks are sequels to San Andreas and Jumanji movies. Nevertheless, it’s highly possible that The Rock can show up on the Road to WrestleMania.
