Dwayne Johnson is a man of many talents. No sky is too high for The Rock to reach. After all, he went from just having seven bucks in his pocket to making millions in movies and business. As a result, whenever The Rock says something, it sounds very credible. However, in 2017, Dwayne Johnson made a shocking and bold claim that sounded inconceivable to Golf legend John Daly.
Johnson claimed to have hit an incredible 490-yard drive. While Johnson has the body to pull it off, Daly was perplexed by the claim.

Let’s admit it, The WWE icon-tuned-Hollywood mogul has done it all in his career. Whether it is the squared circle, the movies, or business, The Rock has the drive to succeed in whatever he pursues. Johnson’s claim raised a lot of eyebrows among golf enthusiasts. It further intrigued two-time major winner John Daly, who weighed in on Johnson’s alleged milestone. While speaking with TMZ, Daly stated that it was highly unlikely for the former WWE star to achieve something like that, as he has seen pure natural golfers who can only almost hit 400 yards.
Daly further added that he would have to see it to believe it before admitting that The Red Notice Actor had the physique to achieve that feat. He said, “I’m saying it’s highly unlikely because I’ve seen the biggest and the baddest drivers in the world that can’t hit it almost 400 yards, and if he can hit it 490 straight, he needs to get on the PGA Tour.”
Despite his reservations about Johnson’s claims, Daly stated that he admires The Rock for his work in films. In addition, he expressed his longing to play a good game of golf with him. Daly wasn’t the only was who was in disbelief as the fans also gave their opinion on it.
Nevertheless, Dwayne Johnson achieved the feat while shooting for his HBO show, “Ballers”, in Las Vegas. Interestingly, DJ once faced a lawsuit for allegedly stealing Baller’s concept from a scrapped TV show.

The writers of the scrapped TV project called “Off Season” sued Johnson and Wahlberg, claiming that the duo stole the concept of their TV idea after they had almost signed a deal with them.
However, it was later reported by Deadline that the charges were dropped. The judge claimed that similarities between the two shows “did not rise to the standard of copyright infringement”.
