‘Never Saw You Winning Tonight’: Wrestling World Happy With WWE After a Long Time as New United States Champion Gets Crowned on Raw

Damian Priest defended the WWE United States Championship many times during his title reign. Last week after his match against Shelton Benjamin, Priest demanded a former world champion to answer his open challenge. Hence, Finn Balor came out and informed Priest he would face him on next week’s Raw.

The fans already in the arena loved this match when it was announced.

Damien Priest had beaten Sheamus at SummerSlam to win the US Title in August 2021. However, on tonight’s episode, his six-month-long reign ended as Finn Balor dethroned him to begin his maiden US Title reign.

The fans in the arena were fully into the match and cheering Finn Balor throughout the match. When Balor pinned Priest, the arena erupted in celebration.

After Balor won the title, the WWE universe captured social media to congratulate him for his victory. The supporters of ‘The Prince’ were finally happy to see him winning a title since losing the NXT Championship last year.
