Extreme Rules 2022 ended on a high note with Riddle coming out on top against Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins. The match went absolutely brutal, with both men having no mercy for each other.

The match also had UFC Legend Daniel Cormier coming in as the referee for the match and officiating it. However, he had very little role to play in the match except for shouting instructions at Riddle and Rollins.

However, one crucial moment in the match saw Rollins shouting threats at Cormier. While both Rollins and Riddle were up on the stage, Rollins put Riddle down with a pedigree. But unfortunately, Riddle was up on the stage and Cormier could not proceed with the counting.

This led to Rollins shouting threats at the UFC Legend. Rollins yelled at Cormier to come up the stage and count or he would choke him out. Rollins said, “I will come down there and choke you out!” Rollins barking orders at a former UFC Champion seemed unrealistic but was extremely fun to watch. Anyhow, will it lead to a special match between Rollins and Cormier?

While Rollins is a pro wrestling great, Cormier is an MMA Legend and has won real fights. However, Cormier looked extremely unhealthy and out of shape, and with a physique like this, the Brock Lesnar match seemed out of the question.

Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins main-event four PPVs in 2022, and has become one of the top stars in the company. The yelling at DC came out of nowhere, and Rollins soon fell victim to an RKO from Riddle on top of the stage. As soon as he fell, he was greeted with a Senton from the top.

Cormier is not the first MMA fighter to make his appearance on the show. Brock Lesnar, Matt Riddle, and Ronda Rousey all came from an MMA background. All three came from an MMA background but established themselves as the top superstars in the company, even winning championships.
