We’ve all heard the phrase, “It’s not so much about the destination as it is about the journey” and in some respects, this applies to storytelling. However, no matter how good the build-up for a story is, fans expect a substantial payoff when it comes time to executing a feud or ending one.
The same happened when Sasha Banks made her return to interrupt the highly anticipated match between Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair.

The match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship itself was very well received by the fans. When the title changed hands at SummerSlam this year, the fans were highly disappointed with WWE. And it looks like the disappointment still continues.
As much fun as the match was, there has been a tsunami of mixed feelings about the match from the WWE Universe. Some fans have criticized WWE for once again ending a PPV title match via DQ. While others are just glad to see ‘
The Boss‘ back in business. This is what happens when two fan favorites go head to head, without any future planning by the board.
I give Bianca Belair vs. Becky Lynch an A-.
It gets that minus because it ended with a DQ, even if I am happy to see Sasha Banks back. Otherwise, that was some good stuff. I’m convinced Bianca got good chemistry with everybody and Becky ain’t lost a step. #WWE #ExtremeRules

….and Sasha Banks has caused a DQ finish, with backstabbers for everyone.
Well, the match was great until this suddenly happened. #ExtremeRules #WomensTitle

Does Sasha Banks back mean Triple Threat match?
Whatever the reactions to the ending are, one thing we all are happy about is Sasha’s return. The Boss has been out of action for a long time, so a surprise return is always welcomed. This sudden return of a babyface while already two are feuding, might come back to haunt WWE.
WWE once again backed themselves into a corner with no way out. If a triple threat match takes place, then they have three individuals who cannot afford a loss. This is what happens when WWE doesn’t follow the “Long Term Booking” logic.
Also, an Extreme Rules match ending in a DQ is quite ironic. We are not sure how to feel about it. One thing is for sure, Sasha Banks’ return was as polarizing as many expected and there’s a sense of anticipation surrounding the moves she will make next.
