Logan Paul is a popular YouTuber and a combat sports enthusiast. Despite his social media fame, he is often hated by many on the internet. Despite the public hatred, he has made fans in the WWE through his wrestling skills and in-ring awareness.

On the episode of SmackDown on October 20th, Rey Mysterio faced Logan Paul and accepted the offer for the match for the US title. Logan Paul then defeated Mysterio at Crown Jewel to win the US title and win his first WWE title. During the match, he was also able to save Rey Mysterio from a potential injury.

The veteran and WWE hall of famer Rey Mysterio faced the Maverick Logan Paul at Crown Jewel for the US Title. Though, the two superstars share contrasting styles, the match consisted of many acrobatic spots.

What stole the match other than Paul’s win and in-ring performance was his ring awareness. During a moment in the match, Mysterio pulled a somersault from the side rope that was badly timed. But Logan Paul showed great awareness by catching Rey Mysterio mid-way to deliver a power slam.

A wrestling fan posted a clip of an in-ring action between Rey Mysterio and Logan Paul on X on November 4th. The caption for the tweet read, “Did Logan just SAVE Rey here?” It was a reference to the move performed by Paul on Rey while breaking his character momentarily.

Logan Paul showed great presence of mind to save Rey Mysterio from falling on his neck. The fall could have damaged Mysterio’s neck for a career-threatening injury. It is shocking as Logan Paul was the one to challenge Mysterio.

Logan Paul has hinted at his next challenger for title defense

On October 14th, Logan Paul defeated Dillion Danis in a boxing match at AO Arena in Manchester, England. However, after his win, he called out Rey Mysterio for a match for the US title. Rey Mysterio responded to Logan Paul’s challenge on the podcast of Ariel Helwani. In an interview at The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Rey Mysterio stated, “We’re gonna face each other and I gotta hear what he has to say.”

The Maverick has fulfilled his dreams of becoming a WWE Champion and bringing the title to America. But who will be his next opponent? During an interview with Marc Raimondi of ESPN, Paul showed interest in fighting another celebrity wrestler, Bad Bunny for the title.
