Crown Jewel is finally here and fans in Saudi Arabia are not falling short of excitement. Much like every other WWE event, we can hear the ecstatic crowd chanting. Usually, these chants are related to a fan sentiment surrounding the ongoing match. However, it looks like the crowd at Crown Jewel this year is expecting something more out of the promotion.

A fan uploaded a video live from ground zero as the event was getting started. In the social media video, we can see an excited crowd chanting out loudly for WWE to hear them. These chants are not related to any ongoing match, but a demand that they might have.

The fans sitting inside the ‘Mohammed Abdu Arena’ can be heard chanting the name of ‘CM Punk‘. Since the video came in before the event kicked off, it is possible that the viewers wanted to see the former AEW superstar starting the night.

After CM Punk faced several altercations in AEW in a short span of time, Tony Khan was left with no choice but to kick him out of his promotion. As of now, Punk is not signed up with any wrestling companies. So, this made fans speculate about his WWE return. After all, he became a star while working for the Stamford-based company in the first place. There have also been multiple signs hinting at such a possibility.

Firstly, when Cody Rhodes was planning to bring back Jey Uso in WWE, he announced during a promo that Uso, who is the ‘best in the world’, deserves a second chance. Since Punk was released from AEW that night, this might have been a hint that Punk was also offered a second chance immediately.

Secondly, Seth Rollins, on Monday Night Raw on August 25th, referenced Punk by calling himself ‘The Best in the World’, a popular moniker used for the 45-year-old wrestling star.

Lastly, commentator Corey Graves also hinted at something similar while reminiscing about Punk’s past catchphrase.
