Logan Paul Recreates Controversial John Cena Cheating Move to Secure His First Championship Win in WWE at Crown Jewel

The match between the two stars quickly became intense as Mysterio failed multiple times to pin The Maverick down. After the duo shared punches, Mysterio prevailed over the internet celebrity. Just when all hope seemed lost for him, Paul’s loyal crewmate decided to sneak in brass knuckles. The 28-year-old star used them to knock out Mysterio and then pinned for the three count.

After winning his match against Dillon Danis, Logan Paul openly challenged the current reigning WWE United States Champion, Rey Mysterio. Since then there has been a bit of back and forth between the stars. Fans even thought that The Maverick might not be serious about it. But it was later confirmed and even a weigh-in was performed for the two SmackDown stars.

Logan Paul’s Tribute to John Cena

There was a time when Big Show was the United States Champion at WWE. In the 2004 Royal Rumble, Show had defeated John Cena which paved the way for the two to get into a feud. This prompted John Cena to challenge The World’s Largest Athlete for a shot at his title at the WrestleMania 20. In a very similar fashion to that of Logan Paul, John Cena back then used a pair of brass knuckles to knock out Big Show and pin him down.

What makes it more interesting is the fact that it was John Cena’s first championship win. And Logan Paul has secured his first championship win at the Crown Jewel in a similar fashion for the same title. Paul has been on the rise. His anticipated return to boxing proved to be fruitful after he defeated Dillon Danis. Now he happens to be the United States Champion, making his name even more permanent at the promotion.
