One of WWE’s all-time greats has recently revealed how it was to team up with boxing great Mike Tyson. The boxing star has enjoyed quite a fruitful career. A quick look at his record definitely says so. His stellar career has seen him perform several knockouts through the years. A whopping 44 KOs to his name shows the immense talent the boxer possessed. Former wrestler Shawn Michaels recently revealed in The Bump Podcast what it was like to collaborate with Iron Mike.

HBK said, “All of DX as soon as we started DX we knew it was special, and then adding Mike Tyson that night again and I think sometimes people forget my goodness he was so big back then. And just to get to have him stand next to you on television and sort of endorse your group and specially the baddest of bad boys Mike Tyson was again sort of deeming you the baddest coolest group in the world that was huge for us it really was“.

He continued, “Mike Tyson in his boxing days was got a lot of my money. The thing was you knew you weren’t gonna see long fight you just knew you were gonna see something cool and Mike was a huge thing in my generation to get to share the ring for Hunter, Chyna and I that was a big big thing for us“.

Michaels was not wrong when he mentioned the impact that Tyson had on the Boxing world. Likewise, the Heart Break Kid entertained many when he stepped into the squared circle. His team-up, particularly with Triple H got over quite a lot with the fans.

Iron Mike stuck to his role as a special enforcer when he refused to let Michaels get away by using unfair means. In fact, Tyson was the one to bring curtains to the heel champion and crowned Stone Cold in 1997.

The 4-time world champion currently works as a creative force for NXT. His work with the new talents is quite appreciated within many quarters. WWE has been in the news lately concerning the return of Vince McMahon to the board of directors. A possible sale for the promotion as well looks imminent.
