Back in 1998, Mick Foley had a match with The Undertaker at King of the Ring in June. This was two months after Mike Tyson’s appearance at WrestleMania XIV. By the end of the iconic match, Foley had a dislocated shoulder, a dislocated jaw, broken ribs, and internal bleeding among various other injuries. His fearlessness made Mike Tyson scared of him. On a recent episode of ‘Impaulsive’, the boxer confessed, “Goddamn I’m scared of that guy. This guy, he experienced death every day of his life. He’s jumping off s**t, running in trucks and cars, man. And he’s normal. He broke every bone in his body and he’s a normal guy.” With a concerned tone, he later added, “I just don’t know why he don’t like himself so much.

It is hilarious seeing a once-dreaded boxing champion feeling afraid of Mick Foley who ended up breaking himself during the Hell in a Cell match against Taker. This conversation started right after Mike Tyson claimed that WWE had asked him to do something crazy during his appearance.

Mike Tyson had to lay a punch on WWE star

‘Iron Mike’ wasn’t booked in any of the matches at WrestleMania XIV because he would have to learn how to wrestle in the ring first. However, the wrestling promotion ended up booking him as the guest referee during Stone Cold’s match against Shawn Michaels. Austin was feuding with the DX at the time, so if Tyson had taken his side, he would be in the wrong books of the dangerous faction. This is exactly what ended up happening as the 58-year-old didn’t seem to care for the consequences. Instead, as a referee officiating the high-profile match, Tyson stood up for what was right, even if it meant putting Michaels to sleep.

At the time, the NXT General Manager was not happy when Stone Cold grabbed the victory in the match. Although it was a fair one, Michaels still tried to push himself onto the guest referee, who seemed humble enough to take what was coming towards him. Despite being unwavering when getting pushed around, Tyson decided to teach Shawn Michaels a lesson when he punched him.
