

Hulk Hogan’s status as a celebrity in pop culture holds up to this day. He was the man who lead WWE’s dive into mainstream media decades ago. As Hogan became a big-time star, his popularity rivaled those of many other celebrities.
The Hulkster, due to his charismatic and successful interactions with prominent names from other walks of life, set the tone for what was to follow in WWE.
Many stars from various genres became part of WWE’s sports entertainment culture. One of those big names that crossed over into WWE boxing legend Iron Mike Tyson.

Tyson famously appeared on an episode on RAW in 1998 and got into a brawl with Stone Cold Steve Austin. He would then be the special guest enforcer for Austin’s main event title match at WrestleMania 14.
Tyson and Hogan were some of the biggest stars of the 1980s and clearly on top of their respective sport. Although we didn’t get to see them share the ring in WWE, the two legends have often caught up with each other on occasion.
Recently, fans were engrossed after a photo of Hogan and Iron Mike posing together from a few years ago resurfaced on social media.

Hulk Hogan transcended the pro wrestling industry and put WWE on the map. His physique played a big role in his rise to stardom and he became popular for his large biceps, commonly referred to as his 24-inch pythons.
His legacy, as perhaps WWE’s biggest star lingers to this day and still enjoys a massive fan following.
When it comes to fame and transcending the sport, boxing icon Mike Tyson’s name isn’t too far behind. It won’t be too off the mark to say that he is the biggest name in boxing behind only the legendary Muhammad Ali.
He won multiple championships and his abrasiveness made him a massive name.

In 2015, the WWE legend met his boxing counterpart at the National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago, Illinois. The two legends hung out and posed for photos together. Recently, a photo of the two stars from that day flexing their biceps resurfaced on Facebook and caught the attention of fans.

Fans would’ve wished to see both Hogan and Tyson go at it in a WWE ring. It is also surprising that we never got to see them even share the ring. This is despite WWE’s sports entertainment push and Tyson being a big pop culture name.

Though Vince McMahon once tried to convince Tyson to get into a WWE ring, the boxer declined the invitation due to his ‘fear’ of Hulk Hogan.
