The Road to WrestleMania in WWE is one of the most anticipated times of the year, and it is just near the corner. The road officially kicks off with the Royal Rumble. The Royal Rumble winner gets a guaranteed World Title match at WrestleMania.

However, previously it was a main-event match at WrestleMania, but sometimes such has not been the case. Often superstars have been involved in World Title matches, which have not been the main event of the PPV. The Road to WrestleMania consists of the Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and Fastlane.

The first PPV of the journey is Royal Rumble. The PPV takes place every year in the month of January. The event consists of two Royal Rumble matches for both men and women, where 30 Superstars come out and compete against each other.

The matches tend to be extremely exciting due to their surprising nature and many current and former WWE superstars returning at the event, Brock Lesnar won the 2022 Royal Rumble match and faced Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.

Recently, during a boxing match between Montana Love and Steve Spark, Love got disqualified after throwing Spark over the top rope. Soon after this incident, Twitter went crazy and started reacting to it. Sports Editor Andreas Hale took to Twitter to share the clip and took reference to WWE Royal Rumble.

The moment was indeed hilarious, and somewhat confusing for new boxing fans. In boxing, throwing your opponent over the top rope leads to disqualification. And, thus, Love lost the match, instead of winning, like what happens in a Royal Rumble match.

The moment between these two was iconic and would be lodged inside the fan’s minds for a long time. Although Spark won the match, it came at a cost of being thrown out of the ring.

Some fans even wrote that Montana Love won the Royal Rumble and would be heading to WrestleMania.

Some fans even compared the moment with the iconic Rocky 3 moment between Rocky and Thunderlips.

Although in boxing the fighter gets disqualified after throwing their opponent over the top rope, in Royal Rumble something opposite happens.

WWE Royal Rumble 2023 is going to take place on 28th January 2023 at the Alamodone in Texas. Although no participant or feud has been confirmed for the PPV, the return of Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton is highly rumored. Fans will now have to wait and see if that happens or not.
