It is widely reported that WWE paid big bucks to get Mayweather to appear at the showcase of the immortals. The staggering number WWE paid him was disclosed to be $20 million. However, WWE’s top official has recently revealed the truth behind Mayweather’s contract with WWE, and it looks like the company fooled everyone.

Did Floyd Mayweather really get $20 million from WWE?

In an episode of “Something to Wrestle with Bruce Prichard“, Bruce revealed that Floyd did not get paid that enormous amount. Bruce said.

“Celebrities, if you will at WrestleMania all that comes out of a different account, all that comes out of a completely different part of the company. Not associated with the boys’ pay. So when they’re talking about this was a big deal, especially with Floyd Mayweather, because guys got $20 million. That’s gonna affect my payday. No, it doesn’t. It wasn’t $20 million. It’s hype, it’s press.”

It looks like the hype that the Senior Vice President of WWE was talking about really did its magic. Since most publications and fans still believe that WWE paid Floyd $20 million. The real figure was never confirmed by WWE. However, Bruce has now confirmed that it was indeed not $20 million.

Who did Floyd Mayweather fight at WrestleMania?
