The Youtuber turned boxer, or, one can say, wrestler Logan Paul, found his YouTube career left in peril once he got stuck in a firestorm due to obvious reasons. The incident, however, raised tensions between him and Johnson. But what was the root cause of it?

Why did Dwayne Johnson sever his ties with Logan Paul?

Logan Paul had a long history with ‘The People’s Champ’ Dwayne Johnson. Both guys had great chemistry together, the proof of which is the number of videos they both made till the latter half of 2016. However, one misguided action by Paul not only put his YouTube career in jeopardy but also ended his ties with Johnson.

Paul, who made a name for himself with his slapstick comedy sketches, visited Aokigahara in 2017. For those of you who don’t know, it is a renowned forest near the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan. Haunting people for years, this forest garnered a dark reputation. A boatload of people have killed themselves in this location. His presence in the location prompted ‘The Maverick’ to film the dead body of a suicide victim. Little did he know that his deeds would backfire on him. His YouTube channel got removed from the channel’s Google preferred program. Furthermore, this ordeal also put a dent in his revenue by $5 million.

Well, this was not enough, since his actions also raised tensions between him and Johnson. As a result, he had to eradicate all the videos he made with the Hollywood icon and further regretted his deeds for years. It has been quite a while since the incident took place; however, Paul still mentions his hero on social media.

Recently, Dwayne Johnson shocked the world when he made his grand return to the WWE show Smackdown. Just a one-day appearance by The Great One brought the house down as it broke many records further, proving why he was one of the biggest names to enter the arena. While he had to entertain those who wanted him back inside the squared circle, his former friend Logan Paul got a chance to shoot salvos at the veteran.

Discussing Johnson’s grand return on X, the 28-year-old had Johnson’s image with a few guys who were in similar outfits as the former WWE champion. Well, the other image had the cast of Jersey Shore, in which the guys wore the same outfit, which was reminiscent of that of Johnson. Furthermore, the post had a caption that read, “I’ve seen this before”.
