We all know of the legendary Mike Tyson, especially because of his boxing career. However, he has also been an integral part of WWE history. True WWE fans will remember his role in WrestleMania XIV of 1968.

Chioda spoke of his teaching session with Mike Tyson

Lately, the EX-WWE referee remembers his teaching session with the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time. During his recent episode in AdFreeShows, he reveals what went into trying to prepare Tyson to act as a referee. 

Chioda explained the situation where he felt difficult to teach Tyson how to count a pinfall. He said, “Believe me, I tried to teach him how to count. … He counted so fast, I was like ‘Oh sh*t.’ I must have spent like an hour with him, ‘Here, just 1-2-3.”

Even after putting on so much hard work, Tyson seemed to count faster during the bout. At that time, the WWF Championship fight was going on between Stone Cold, Steve Austin, and Shawn Michaels.

The result came in favor of Austin, making him win his first WWF Championship. It was also a stepping stone of the ‘Attitude Era’ in professional wrestling.

The heavy hitter’s association with WWE has been quite interesting. He has been the talk of the town always. Be it making WrestleMania XIV “The Greatest Extravaganza of all Time,” or hitting Michaels in front of an entire crowd.

There’s also a playable character of him in WWE 13. Besides that, he even battled with some great wrestlers of WWE upon his return in 2010. Lately, he has served as a special enforcer for AEW in April 2021.
