Rare Footage Proves Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Background Influence In Dwayne Johnson’s Chiseled Physique and Bodybuilding Interest

The physical transformation of Dwayne Johnson over the years impressed a lot of people worldwide. It is no secret that The Brahma Bull considers Arnold Schwarzenegger an iconic figure in his life.

Johnson workouts daily at his gym, Iron Paradise, where he has all the equipment. However, along with the equipment, Schwarzenegger influences him at the gym.

A couple of years ago, The Rock shared a picture on his Instagram doing bar curls. Moreover, in that picture behind DJ, we can see a photo of The Styrian Oak doing the same workout. 

Clearly, we can see from where the WWE legend gets motivation while working out. This was the time Johnson was training to get in shape for Black Adam.

We can assume Schwarzenegger has given a well-needed motivation to DJ for shaping into the Teth Adam. This motivation might be one of the reasons The Rock got so much into the shape, that he didn’t use muscle padding for the Black Adam suit.

The Great One and the Seven-time Mr. Olympia have many similarities in their careers. Both started in sports before making it into Hollywood. They made successful acting careers, but they still share a similar love for lifting weights.

In 2005, The Rock gave an interview to Playboy where he shared the story about Schwarzenegger’s cameo in the movie Rundown.

DJ said The Governator agreed in 20 minutes to do the cameo as he had invited Arnie for lunch on the set. This was a passing of the torch moment for DJ to become the next action hero in Hollywood.

After this cameo Schwarzenegger was about to take a hiatus from acting to join politics. Surely, this was a great motivation for Johnson, as in the following years he got a huge rise in Hollywood.

Arnie warned The Rock about joining Hollywood before his debut

When Schwarzenegger appeared on WWE’s SmackDown episode in 1999, he had a backstage segment with The Rock. Arnie warned DJ saying, “there a lot of Jabronis in Hollywood too.”

When DJ joined Hollywood full-time, he faced several stereotypes of the acting world. However, as a strong person, he decided to himself, and the bodybuilding legend’s advice might have helped him.
