Arnold Schwarzenegger is on great terms with WWE for several years now. It’s been a long time since the ‘Austrian Oak’ appeared in the company or for a WWE event. However, irrespective of that, recently the Stamford-based promotion promoted Schwarzenegger’s upcoming Netflix series FUBAR. Additionally, a top match at WWE Backlash was presented by this new upcoming Netflix Spy-adventure series.
But it seems it did not impress the fans as the company promoted the series during Backlash PLE.

The recent Premium Live Event from Puerto Rico, Backlash saw WWE promoting Arnie’s series FUBAR. WWE first announced the same few hours before the event started that FUBAR will present the Cody Rhodes vs Brock Lesnar clash. Therefore, the announcers promoted the series while doing commentary during the show.
WWE shared the tweet writing, “.@BrockLesnar and @CodyRhodes clash TONIGHT at #WWEBacklash, live from Puerto Rico. Match presented by FUBAR. 8PM ET/5PM PT Streaming exclusively on @peacock in U.S. and @WWENetwork everywhere else.”
Furthermore, during the show, they showed an advertisement featuring Butch and Ridge Holland. The SmackDown stars talked about the trailer of the upcoming show and it was WWE’s way of promoting the show that will release on May 25th, 2023.

FUBAR stands as an abbreviation for F**ked Up Beyond All Repair/Recognition. As per Netflix, the plot of the series is, “When a father and daughter discover they both secretly work for the CIA, an already dicey undercover mission turns into a dysfunctional family affair.”

Celebrity WWE Hall of Famer Arnold Schwarzenegger at 75 years old is starring in his first leading role in a scripted live-action television series. The series is created by Nick Santora and is produced by Skydance Television and Blackjack Films. Even though the series will be interesting to watch, wrestling fans didn’t like WWE promoting it on Backlash.
