Apart from pro wrestling, another passion John Cena loves to spend time doing is working out. He often lifted heavy weights in the gym when was not slamming his opponents in the ring or not filming.
The Cenation Leader is famous for having records in several workouts for more reps or bigger weights. However, once Cena shared about not being able to do a workout that Arnold Schwarzenegger could complete easily. Interestingly, he later broke Arnie’s record doing the same workout.

A few years ago, Muscle and Fitness shared an article about John Cena talking about a few rules about working out. Surprisingly, he recalled not being able to do Olympic Lifts perfectly, which bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger did without any effort.
The 16-time world champion said, “I remember when I started doing Olympic lifts. I couldn’t do them. And I came to the junction in the road where it was like, ‘Learn how to do these correctly—or don’t do them again.’ And I dove all in. It was very humbling. But it worked out.”
The Austrian Oak took part in Olympic weightlifting competitions around 1965. Moreover, his highest snatch record is 243 lbs. (110 kg.) which is comparatively less than the WWE legend. John Cena once shared a video of doing a snatch of 137kg (304 lbs).
As Cena mentioned in about, he learned to do it perfectly and he surely exceeded himself. The former WWE Champion went on to break Schwarzenegger’s record by a difference of almost 17kgs or 61lbs.

Surprisingly, listening to music is not one of them. He said, “I don’t listen to music when I lift. I don’t listen to music before I go out for WWE, either. I just like to hear the audience.”
Moreover, he added about reducing his workout duration as he ages. Cena said, “I work out four times a week. The day I can’t handle four times a week, we’ll go down to three. It’s not too complicated.”
