Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of the few celebrities who has been in various businesses and excelled in each one of them. That’s why his connections to the world of wrestling are deep and involve many legends who paved the way.

So, on one significant occasion, an interviewer asked the Terminator actor about these connections and his answers lead one to speculate about his friend’s circle in the wrestling world.

But before we dive into the interview, let’s talk about some appearances of Schwarzenegger on WWE TV. Having a brawl with Triple H during his championship storyline was the first time that he entered the WWE ring.

And then he helped his friend, Hulk Hogan, while promoting his movie along with Joe Manganiello. But the biggest of them was when the man was inducted into the Hall of Fame ceremony of WrestleMania 31.

In the interview, the former Governor of California revealed, “When I moved over here to America, the first guy that I met in professional wrestling was Bruno Sammartino. He was a judge at the Mr. Olympia competition and Mr. Universe competition every year because he was really heavily into bodybuilding and knew everything about it.

Then I became very good friends with Andre the Giant because he wrestled down in Mexico while I was doing the movie Conan the Destroyer. He came to the set a lot of times. We went out for dinner a lot.

Then later on I met Hulk Hogan and followed his wrestling career. I saw all those great wrestlers getting into movies, like Jesse Ventura, who I did Predator and The Running Man with, and later Batman & Robin.”

Working with so many wrestlers is an achievement in itself. Also, the bond between Schwarzenegger and Sammartino was so close that he inducted Sammartino into the Hall of Fame.

That was an emotional moment and perfectly showed how much he cared about his longtime friend. But in the interview, he also mentions legendary wrestlers like Harold Sakata, and “Superstar” Billy Graham. And he also had a great interaction with The Miz in WWE as well.
