The Rock, who remains a hugely popular figure among the WWE faithful, was called in by WWE for an appearance on the September 4, 2019 edition of SmackDown from Los Angeles.
He featured in the opening segment along with another fan favorite, Becky Lynch, as they took out WWE star Baron Corbin
Dwayne Johnson teamed up with Becky Lynch to teach Corbin a lesson
Becky Lynch kicked off the show and King Corbin interrupted her shortly afterward. Corbin questioned Lynch on whether she really was ‘The Man’. This prompted The Rock to make his way to the ring, as he hilariously referred to Corbin as ‘broke a** Burger King on crack’.
Corbin then took a shot at NBA icon LeBron James. He said Los Angeles has only one king, and it was not LeBron James. The Rock asked Corbin if he thinks he is superior to LeBron James, which led to Becky Lynch stealing ‘The Great One’s famous line to say “It doesn’t matter what you think.”

The Rock last wrestled for WWE in 2016, when he defeated Eric Rowan in an impromptu match at WrestleMania 32. He picked up the win after just six seconds, making it the shortest match in WrestleMania history. Though he hasn’t wrestled a match since then, recent reports suggest WWE could be lining him up for a mega clash with his cousin Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles, California next year.
