“It May Not Mean a Lot to Many” – Former WWE Manager Reveals the Roller Coaster of Emotions He Went Through Seeing Zelina Vega at WWE Backlash 2023

Currently, the WWE superstar Zelina Vega is all over the news in the professional wrestling industry. She faced the WWE SmackDown Women’s champion, Rhea Ripley, at Backlash in front of her home Puerto Rican crowd that backed her to the fullest. Although Vega failed to capture the championship, she perfectly captured everyone’s heart and walked out of the arena with her head high. Not only the fans but a former WWE manager also shared an emotional message after seeing Vega on the stage.

The former WWE manager gets emotional seeing Zelina Vega

A few hours ago, former WWE manager Ricardo Rodriguez shared pictures of Zelina Vega from WWE PLE Backlash. In the images, Zelina is holding the Puerto Rican flag with tears in her eyes.  Rodriguez also revealed that he went through a roller coaster of emotions when he saw Vega representing her people. It also reminded him of his own days in Vince McMahon’s company.

Rodriguez wrote that it might be a small thing for many people but there is something in representing their people. He also recalled the day WWE was held in Mexico City and wrote that it meant so much to him and when he saw Zelina Vega doing the same he cried tears of joy.

“Years ago we did WWE  Tv in Mexico City and I can not begin to tell you how much that meant to me. To be representing our people. It may not mean a lot to many. But I legit shed a tear seeing @ZelinaVegaWWE as she stood within hers. I felt that moment.”, wrote Ricardo Rodriguez.

The PLE Backlash was really crucial for the WWE superstar Zelina Vega. Not only because she was competing against the WWE SmackDown women’s champion Rhea Ripley, but also because the event was held in her hometown.

Vega received huge support from the crowd at Backlash

In March 2023, Zelina Vega joined the Latino World Order and got into the feud against ‘The Judgement Day’. In April after WrestleMania 39, Vega requested a championship match against Rhea Ripley at WWE Backlash.

Soon enough, the match was made official by Adam Pearce.  

Even though Zelina Vega failed to snatch the SmackDown Women’s Championship from Rhea Ripley’s hand, she won fans’ hearts and even received a standing ovation from her home crowd.

All this scenario must have caught Triple H’s attention and it won’t be a surprise if Vega gets several more opportunities in the near future.
