WWE went offbeat lately in terms of main roster Premium Live Events as three of them, including Backlash, Night of Champions, and Money in the Bank, were announced to take place outside the US. Recently, most talked about among them has been Puerto Rico hosting Backlash as it marked the second event after the Stamford-based company finally ended an 18-year hiatus from the island territory with a SmackDown episode last Friday.
The Puerto Rican fans made one of the best PLE crowds during the event. After all, they have been waiting for this since 2005. The island residents unleashed all their suppressed excitement tonight and made the show a huge blockbuster. That being said, when they get another chance to witness a WWE PLE, seeing their favorite superstars in action is something subject to doubt.

Puerto Rico didn’t disappoint WWE, rather it exceeded all the expectations in terms of displaying passion for the action on display. Then what’s gone wrong? Shortly after the breathtaking event winded up, Dave Meltzer took to his Wrestling Observer News to point out the disappointing reality behind WWE’s little chances to be back in Puerto Rico for another PLE in the near future.
Meltzer noted, ”The thing is, they’re only gonna come if they get paid. So, that’s up to how much the tourism board wants to pay. Usually, when it comes to this type of thing. Generally speaking, if they want to bring you in, if the tourism board brings you in, they’re not gonna bring you in every year.
Meltzer added, “They’re gonna use their money to bring in another act next year. It won’t always be WWE. So, yeah, for them to do a pay-per-view generally, and there’s an exception, because when they go to London they’re not getting paid by a tourism board, they just feel like its time to do it.”

However, not only fans, it seems like the superstars are also amazed after performing in Puerto Rico in front of a raucous crowd.
Seth Rollins is in complete awe of the beautiful Puerto Rico island
Seth Rollins defeated the Nigerian superstar Omos in a super exhilarating 10-minute match. While Omos gave it his best on the Puerto Rican ground, it was Rollins who prevailed until the end. The Visionary proved everyone wrong who doubted his potential to deliver a good match against Omos.
However, the 36 years old broke silence on how he felt after clinching the win in a post-match interview. While describing his delight, Rollins reflected on how everything about the venue of WWE pleased him in every sense.
”I don’t really know any other way to describe it. All I’m saying is I think I’m going to have to take up residence here on the island because I get why people come here and don’t leave! Now I totally understand it,” the victorious hero noted.
