Stone Cold Steve Austin appears on various podcasts and interview shows these days. The attitude era star is still one of the most popular wrestlers of all time and fans still want him to come out of retirement for one match. He retired in 2003 because of his neck injuries and hasn’t stepped foot in the ring for wrestling.
WWE wrestlers often travel around the United States and to other countries. Every wrestler has a travel partner or buddy with whom they travel frequently for almost 300+ days a year. Over the years, they become best friends.

There Austin was asked, “Who is your favorite travel partner?” He said while laughing, “Because he is always in such a bad mood. Billy Gunn.”

Why did Stone Cold Steve Austin like to travel with Billy Gunn?
Austin and Billy Gunn were travel partners for a long time during their time in WWE. Some time back, Billy Gunn appeared on Steve Austin’s show where the first question Austin asked him was about his favorite travel partner. Gunn replied, “I know you want me to say you, but you were kind of a pain in the a**.”

Austin said how excellent a driver Billy Gunn was. “One thing I used to enjoy about traveling with you, you [were] a good wheelman because I would not let all of my travel partners drive a vehicle. Now, you were a safe driver, an excellent driver.”
Billy Gunn also recalled how Austin used to get crazy when his water bottle was touched or shifted to another place. Austin was concerned about anybody drinking from his bottle. Both Austin and Gunn have traveled around for shows many times and still recall those moments whenever they meet.
What is Billy Gunn up to these days?
Billy Gunn was a part of D Generation X during the attitude era with his tag team partner, Road Dogg. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2019 as a part of DX.

Nowadays, Billy Gunn is in a contract with AEW where he, along with his sons Austin and Colten, have formed The Gunn Club and wrestles. Gunn is 58 years currently but is in amazing shape.
Gunn is putting his sons over in AEW and maybe he will end his career over there. It is nice seeing him in good shape still and looking at this, fans can say he has many more matches left in the tank.
