That Punk was spotted in the Pennsylvanian city was reported by an X account, which said: “CM Punk is reportedly in Pittsburgh potentially for tonight’s show Payback”. The user attributed it to the reliable pro wrestling news outlet PW Insider.

As soon as the tweet surfaced, it attracted comments from other users, including the outlet, who clearly denied reporting the same.

The tweet also received a backlash from this user who launched an allegation against the tweet.

One user said they reported it to the platform for misleading content.
