CM Punk’s time at AEW was full of drama. While the first couple of years sailed smoothly, things started to get a bit rocky with the 2022 AEW All Out. At the All Out media scrum, Punk fired shots at the Young Bucks and the Elites at AEW. While it did garner some unwanted attention, CM Punk ended up getting on the bad side of many people at the promotion. Over the years, he ended up making some real-life foes there, and one of them is all set to make his NJPW debut after the heated AEW All-In 2023 incident.

CM Punk’s old foe is all set for NJPW

While the Second City Saint made his WWE return following the AEW All-In incident, Jack Perry, who was also involved in the altercation, is all set to fight at NJPW. Jack Perry has been announced for the upcoming NJPW Windy Riot City. The PPV will be held in Chicago, Illinois, on April 12, 2024.

While his opponent hasn’t been announced yet, he will be appearing alongside other stars such as Ren Narita, Tomohiro Ishii, and the Guerrillas of Destiny (Hikuleo and El Phantasmo). Along with that, AEW’s Jon Moxley is set to be locking horns with Tetsuya Naito that night.

This will not be his first sighting at NJPW. Jack Perry was last seen at the NJPW Battle in the Valley PPV. There, he attacked Shota Umino before ripping his AEW contract, renouncing his association with the company. While Jack Perry is set to have his first big fight at NJPW, here is a gist of what happened on the night of AEW All In 2023.

What happened at the AEW All in 2023?

The biggest PPV by AEW was held at Wembley Stadium in London on August 27, 2023. Before the show went live, at the All in Zero Hour, Perry fought with HOOK for his FTW Championship title. While he was not able to defend his title, he taunted CM Punk after Perry used real glass for the match. This traces back to the time when Punk was against the idea of Perry using real glass for an episode of AEW Collision. This was something that Punk did not take lightly.

After Zero Hour, CM Punk followed Perry backstage to have a word with him. Things quickly escalated, and the two started using fists. The altercation was reportedly broken by Samoa Joe. It was later announced that both stars had been suspended for some time. A few days later, it was announced that CM Punk had been fired and Perry was still under suspension. Now that Perry is set to be a part of NJPW, do you think he still has a way back to AEW?
