The notion of WWE taking a crucial asset of Tony Khan’s troop, MJF, Maxwell Friedman, on board, has been on the rise for a while now. Fans were highly speculating that the former AEW Champion would jump ship to the rival company during or after WrestleMania 40. While that didn’t materialize, fans hold on to their hope, which gets further triggered after The Salt of the Earth himself gave away a massive hint on his IG story with a unique Kevin Owens reference.

The Prizefighter and the AEW star intriguingly counter each other but are yet to cross paths. Back in 2022, MJF expressed his intent to face his former WWE peer first if he returns to the company. So, did his latest piece of acknowledgment to Owens only cement that two-year-old claim? While the answer is still up in the air, Fans badly want to count on that.

Kevin Owens and MJF have been on very similar yet different storylines and character shades in their respective promotions. MJF gradually rose to the rank of a most selfish, obnoxious guy who spared no one from torturing them with his highly hellish antics. It seems he’s truly on the mission of proving himself better than anyone on the roster and, of course, not very gently.

On the other hand, Owens underwent a drastic transformation from being a vicious heel, who didn’t think twice before betraying his friend, Sami Zayn, to a fan-favorite babyface over the last couple of years. Now, the two storyline dynamics clearly show boundless potential to cook something enticing if tipped together. Adding flame to that fire, Maxwell Jacob Friedman posted a photo of Owens from his ROH days with the ROH song.

Fans couldn’t just unsee the return of the former WWE star to his old wrestling home in it, nonetheless.

WWE fans heavily foresee an MJF return to an enticing storyline alongside Kevin Owens

Both men have currently been on a hiatus with MJF not appearing in the ring since losing AEW World’s End and Kevin Owens possibly issuing a deal-expiration proclamation. That said, amidst the transitional phase of both acts, the sudden shout-out to the WWE wrestler from MJF prompted fans to think of a union. If it happens to be true, one of them has to let go of their current promotions, and as per fans’ intuition, it’s MJF, despite the other one’s current vulnerable status with WWE.

When a minor injury debunked MJF’s WWE return theory months ago, the star himself never really dismissed an idea. Rather, he indicated to start a bidding war between two promotions for availing to his service. So, deep down, The Devil seems committed to the Stamford-based company and fans read it right.

Fans are enthusiastically looking toward that dream match between Owens and MJF down the line.

Despite KO announcing an imminent contract termination, fans believe Triple H won’t be ready to let him go at this point. So, the only way to make the match happen is the MJF’s much-anticipated return.
