The former Universal Champion has shared his wish for having one last match after his previous match at the Elimination Chamber against Roman Reigns last year.

Bill Goldberg gets a suggestion from his old boss to have a last match

In a recent episode of the Strictly Business podcast, Eric Bischoff shared his views on AEW’s UK show and CM Punk’s return rumors. By his words, we can easily make out the former RAW General Manager isn’t a fan of Punk.

However, Bischoff is of the opinion that even if the Wembley Arena show is a hit, things will be normal for AEW later. But he claims if Tony Khan wants to boost Punk’s return for future shows, the boss should book his match against Goldberg.

The 67-year-old said, “Hey I’ve got an idea book CM Punk and Bill Goldberg. You want to book something that’s gonna sell out Wembley? Book that. Bill Goldberg’s last match against CM Punk. Dare you. Dare you. Grab your b*lls, TK. Go with it, dare you”

‘The Best in the World’s’ debut on AEW still holds the most views on YouTube. Moreover, during that period, Khan’s company garnered massive ratings. Therefore, even we can imagine how big of a deal Punk’s return would be and to pair it with the WWE Hall of Famer’s return, it would definitely grab eyeballs.

Nevertheless, Goldberg is a free agent in the world of professional wrestling and he can opt for AEW’s Wembley event for a last match. There would be several factors leading to his AEW debut, which Bischoff also explained on his podcast.

Eric Bischoff shares what will bring Goldberg back to the ring

Bischoff’s co-host Jon Alba shared that Goldberg showing up to AEW is a possibility to which the former WCW official agreed. However, he shared why the former WCW Heavyweight Champion could make an AEW debut for one match.

Bischoff said, “I don’t either. I’ve said this a couple of weeks ago. If Bill is money motivated and he could be. I don’t think he needs the money, but guys like Bill aren’t about needing the money. It’s about wanting it.”
