The wrestling world has been buzzing with the AEW debut of Adam Cole at the All Out pay-per-view. It was only a month ago Cole was wrestling for WWE’s Black and Gold brand. Now he will wrestle for the same colors, but for a different company.

The news hit social media like a storm with fans and wrestling legends alike, giving their honest opinions. One such wrestling legend is WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. On his “Hall of Fame” podcast, King Booker stated that Cole should have gone to Japan first.

“If Adam Cole wins the AEW Championship, it’ll change the whole game. Just because he’s that guy that a lot of people don’t think should be playing that role in that position. It will show the diversity of what AEW is all about.”

“You know, I made a statement and somebody had called me on it. He was talking about Adam Cole and I said ‘Adam Cole would probably benefit if he went to japan’. And the thing is, I still stand by that. Adam Cole perhaps would have benefited going to Japan and then coming back over here and negotiating the contract. It might have been a little bit bigger, maybe not, you never know.”

The AEW fans are just happy that they did not have to wait for months to witness Cole’s debut. Had he gone to Japan, there is a good chance he might have stayed there for a long time, as he would undoubtedly shine there.
