AEW is set to make history with its biggest show at Wembley Stadium in the United Kingdom. Tony Khan took a huge risk, but it seems it is paying off as per recent reports. Moreover, a WWE legend recently praised the AEW boss by comparing his “guts” with Vince McMahon booking WrestleMania 3 in 1987.

Bully Ray who wrestled in WWE as Bubba Ray Dudley in the iconic Dudley Boyz tag team, had his say on Khan’s ambitious Wembley pay-per-view.

Starting a company to compete with WWE is in itself a huge thing that Khan did back in 2019. Moreover, the foundations for the same were led by Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks with the biggest independent PPV, All-In. However, five years later, with the formation of AEW, Khan is having another major All-In PPV in the UK which impressed Bully Ray.

The Dudely Boyz team member has always been vocal about his views regarding pro wrestling. Similarly, he compared Khan’s huge step to McMahon’s 1987 risk of hosting WrestleMania 3 from Silverdome with 90000+ fans.

The WWE Hall of Famer wrote, “It took guts for VKM to run the Silverdome. It takes guts for TK to run Wembley. Some of you have zero fkn clue about stuff like this and only wish failure upon AEW. I wish them nothing but luck and hope they draw the biggest house they possibly can.”

The wrestling world is looking forward to the best for AEW. Recently, even Dave Meltzer shared a report of AEW All-In selling nearly 35000 tickets in its pre-sale, which will boost the morale of the talent as well as fans. There have been few who have criticized AEW’s plans to hold a show at such a huge location outside U.S., but Bully Ray is supportive of the Tony Khan venture.

Despite this ambitious step, there have been a few detractors. Khan had to call out Nick Khan while responding to an ESPN reporter. The reporter Mike Coppinger compared the AEW PPV with Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte’s fight last year.

In a tweet, Khan called out Nick Khan to respond to Coppinger, while he shared another tweet doubting his credentials. The AEW boss was furious over the reporter’s comments, criticizing the tickets sold in the pre-sale.
