WWE made quite the revenue after choosing Saudi Arabia to be the venue for Elimination Chamber 2022.

According to reports, the revenue WWE’s revenue from the Saudi Arabian Government since 2018 is more than AEW’s four year media deal with WarnerMedia.

Not only that, but the revenue since 2018 is more than what New Japan generated since 2012. This is following Kazuchika Okada’s main event push.

Keeping aside other promotions, the revenue generated from the Saudi Arabia events since 2018 is more than the revenue generated via WrestleMania tickets since 1985.

Undoubtedly, doing events in Saudi Arabia is proving to be a benefit for the company. There was a brief pause in organizing PPVs in Saudi Arabia when the pandemic hit. However, WWE resumed the same with Crown Jewel 2021.

Even though the expenses increased, but company also terminated several contracts. On the other hand, WWE worked out quite a few media deals and hired in the administration front.

Now, some fans believed the product was lowering in quality. But, a majority of the WWE Universe continued to engage with the product. After a slow pace during the pandemic, WWE really picked up.

Whether it was merchandise or shows, almost everything was coming to a close ‘sold-out’ situation. Additionally, WWE brought back quite a few legends and megastars which have played a significant role in the company’s revenue.

While the younger fans may like the product because of the current Superstars, the older fans have always been more inclined towards the megastars and legends. Therefore, to keep everyone a fan, it produces shows with Legends vs Current Roster. Some of the examples are Becky Lynch vs Lita, Seth Rollins vs Edge, Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar, and so on.

On the other hand, some fans believe WWE should truly consider changing the way they work. But, it’s been very clear that Vince McMahon is watching the money come in and the revenue growing. He’s not going to change the business model or the creative flow in any shape or form at this point.
