The wrestling world turned upside down on Wednesday morning as AEW President Tony Khan announced the signing of WWE Legend The Big Show aka Paul Wight. No one saw it coming, just like the winter storm!

Mick Foley comments on Big Show signing with AEW

Everyone from pro wrestling fans to Big Show’s former colleagues and opponents wished him luck for his new beginning in AEW, including WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley.

The former Raw General Manager took to Twitter to wish Paul Wight fka Big Show all the best. Not just that, but the hardcore legend also chimed in on why he thinks the ‘World’s Largest Athlete’ left WWE.

As seen in the tweet, Foley subtly cites Big Show did everything he could in the WWE, and he honestly did. The Big Show turned heel/face more than any other Superstar in WWE History.

Not only that, but Show also won several titles in the WWE, making him the 12th Grand Slam Champion in WWE.

The Big Show won four World Titles (2 WWE Championships, 2 World Heavyweight Championships) during his WWE Career. In addition, he held the Intercontinental, United States, Hardcore, and Tag Team Championships, too!

Except for championships, Show was also included in some major attraction matches at WrestleMania. ‘The Giant’ faced off with Sumo Legend Akebono in a Sumo contest at WrestleMania 21 and also fought undefeated Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. at WrestleMania XXIV.

Big Show’s response to Foley

The 7ft Giant responded to the Hardcore Legend. He even agreed with the statements Foley made and said there’s a lot left in the tank. Just in case you’re unaware, Show aka Paul Wight will not only wrestle for AEW but will also provide commentary for AEW Dark: Elevation.

The Big Show’s WrestleMania debut came against Mankind (Foley) at WrestleMania XV. The two men faced off quite a few times, including a Boiler Room Brawl!
