Brock Lesnar was cemented as ‘The Next Big Thing’ quickly when he debuted in WWE. No WWE superstar in the company has gotten a meteoric rise as Lesnar got back in 2002 due to his sheer abilities.

Lesnar left the company only two years after his debut to pursue other career opportunities. Furthermore, many backstage officials were upset by ‘The Beast Incarnate’ leaving. However, this was not the case with one of his rivals, The Big Show.

Brock Lesnar, in his autobiography, Death Clutch, mentioned that he liked The Big Show as a person. Furthermore, Lesnar said Show got emotional when The Beast decided to leave WWE after WrestleMania 20 in 2004.

Lesnar stated, “Hell, he cried when I told everyone I was going to leave WWE. He’s just a super nice, sentimental guy, and he’s trapped in that massive body. That can’t be easy.”

Lesnar related to Show’s situation of carrying that huge weight and having great matches in the ring. Similar to The Undertaker, Lesnar loved working with The Big Show as he was more massive than ‘The Beast’. Also, the audience would believe Show have Lesnar a beat down.

‘The Beast Incarnate’ willingly took all the bumps in all the matches against ‘The World’s Largest Athlete.’ The former UFC fighter distinguished between Taker and Show, saying, “Show legitimately weighed five hundred pounds. That wasn’t just a made up gimmick. He weighed five hundred pounds! Picking him up was a b**ch. It hurt.”

Lesnar and Show had some great series of matches in 2003. They continued their feud a decade later in 2014, which was won by the returning Brock Lesnar.

The Big Show’s WWE career revived because of Brock Lesnar

A couple of years back before leaving WWE, The Big Show appeared on After the Bell Podcast. He discussed the time WWE sent him back to OVW to lose some weight and repackage himself.
