In the clip, MJF said, “Me, Draby Allin, Christian Cage, Edge, (Eye rolls) Adam Copeland, Malakai Black, Miro.” MJF’s smirk in between the lines was a reference to the promotion’s habit of changing the ring name of wrestlers who transition to AEW from WWE.
At times, a wrestler’s name is changed due to copyright issues related to a particular character. So, Tony Khan intervened as AEW did not want to refer to Adam Copeland by his WWE ring name Edge.
