Within weeks of his AEW exit, the former AEW star jumped at the opportunity to sign a deal with the rival promotion last week from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida under the cover of extreme darkness. The Canadian-born bounced back to a new start tonight, solving the recent mystery puzzle of WWE’s yellow brand. During the closing segment of NXT, Ethan Page stormed to the ring in the dark and claimed responsibility for the attacks on Dar and Mensah, who then laid waste to NXT champion Trick Williams.

WWE Universe will surely recollect the May 28 edition of WWE NXT as one of the most remarkable shows in history, culminating in a flamboyant finish. According to sources, ever since the secret signing with WWE, Page kept himself under the cover by not being present backstage or at any rehearsal, only to build hype for whatever happened during the last few minutes of the show tonight.

Coming out to be the mastermind behind a series of assaults, Page laid into Trick Williams and hoisted the NXT title in the air to a surreal ending. The former Alpha 1 promoter continued to pump his actions up on social media even after the show was over. He took to his Twitter to troll Williams with his own catchphrase.

”I guess I whooped that Trick.”, the 34-year-old noted.
