Bryan Danielson almost had to leave behind his wrestling boots forever tonight in London. Fans were not ready to see him hang up his boots yet, so they rooted and prayed for him to become the new AEW World Champion. Their prayers were finally heard in Wembley Stadium, as Danielson ended up winning the title for himself and also his family members.

Bryan Danielson tried his hand at the AEW World Title against Swerve Strickland at the marquee PPV. The match rightfully earned its moniker as a ‘Title vs Career’ match because the former WWE superstar claimed that he would be done with wrestling if he lost against the champion. After getting obliterated for almost the entire match, Danielson still bagged the victory. Brie Bella, a former WWE star who is Danielson’s real-life partner, was standing in the crowd ringside. The couple’s two kids, Birdie and Buddy, who made sure to cheer for their father, also accompanied her.

Danielson had a ‘bloody’ build-up until the final pinfall and his family also stepped inside the ring to celebrate his title victory against Swerve Strickland. It was indeed a wholesome and heartwarming sight to behold. One more interesting fact about this family was that Danielson’s sister-in-law almost became his colleague again.
Why didn’t Bryan Danielson’s sister-in-law join AEW?
We all are well aware by now that The Bella Twins once ruled everyone’s hearts. While Brie and Danielson ended up getting married and had kids, Nikki also started a family. They had a dream of becoming mothers one day and not look back at wrestling again, at least for the time being. Life gave them what they had wished for and the two were never seen in action inside the ring again. At AEW All In, Brie stepped into the ring again and must have gotten some flashbacks of her professional life that she left behind to start a different chapter. This threw us back to the time when Nikki felt like she had a calling, too.

Mercedes Mone surprised everyone when she chose to show up in AEW instead of returning to WWE. While some still debate her choice, it felt like a defining moment for Nikki Bella. When she saw the reigning TBS Champion debut in AEW, something clicked inside of her. Nikki felt like she belonged in the ring and should hit up Tony Khan for a potential job role. However, this is when she looked at her family and realized that she still wishes to stay with her son as he ‘needs’ her at the moment. So, maybe in the coming months, we might see her mind changing, making up for another family reunion for Bryan Danielson.
What did you think of his real family’s inclusion in the match?
