Tony Khan is not having a good day. Or we could say probably a bad couple of days. He has recently received some backlash from fans for his latest booking. However, he decided not to let anything slide. This time, he decided to rope in WWE, Jinder Mahal, and fans as well. In a long, rant, tweet, he called out WWE, Triple H, and the fans of the sport for their alleged “double standards.”
Tony Khan fires shots at Triple H and WWE
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Khan decided to vent his frustrations due to the double standards of pro wrestling fans. He mentioned that when Hook who had an impressive track record challenged Samoa Joe, fans showed their outrage as they did not favor the booking. But when WWE announced that Jinder Mahal would be challenging Seth Rollins for his Heavyweight Championship title, the same fans have been quiet. He wrote, “Jinder has literally lost every single match he’s in for the past year, immediately gets a title shot, where is the rage.”

On the January 6 episode of AEW Collision, Hook challenged the newly crowned champion of AEW for a title shot. This has garnered a negative reaction from fans as many deemed it to be a bad booking.
However, Mahal confronted World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins and earned himself a title shot for next week’s edition of Monday Night Raw, with this earning a muted response so far. These contrasting reactions from fans seemed to have pushed Khan over the edge as he took to social media.
However, things quickly started to get heated when a few members of the WWE universe decided to have a word with Khan.

Hours after his rant about the fan backlash went viral on the internet, former WWE Raw General Manager Eric Bischoff decided to respond to Khan’s claims. Bischoff replied with a clown emoji to make his feelings known about the AEW head honcho’s outburst. It is unclear whether he was referring to Khan as a clown or not. However, it did prompt him to clap back at Bischoff.

However, Bischoff was not the only one who decided to reply to Khan. Jinder Mahal, whose example Khan had given when comparing fan reactions, also decided to intervene. But all he did was to reply him with a question. Upon seeing Khan’s claims, Mahal tweeted, “Who TF is Hook.” How do you think this new AEW x WWE rivalry feud will end?
