The phenomenal AEW All In London PLE is finally underway after a lot of hype swirling all over the pro wrestling premises. Wembley Stadium looks all stacked up to witness the magic of Bryan Danielson and Swerve Strickland in a grudge title match or to go with the flow of the Young Bucks’ formidable tag team gold fight. That said, before all these layers of excitement unfolded, the AEW head honcho dropped a big bombshell to amp up the excitement.
Tony Khan finally lets his historical announcement slip right at the start of All-In
The rumors of All Elite Wrestling hosting a special stadium show in the US territory had run rampant ever since Khan built up the heat over one historical announcement for the promotion. Now AEW has offered a snippet of its plans to expand into other global territories. They spilled further details on the spectacular All-In night. The Florida-based wrestling promotion plans to visit a new continent in the 2025 calendar queue. Rather, the big giant poster in the arena told us loud that the company crew will head to Australia, Suncorp Stadium next year on February 15th to host a groundbreaking edition of the AEW Grand Slam.

We better buckle up to see Khan deliver on his promises for next year’s AEW agenda. But will the decision really deliver in the long run? Let’s judge the score.
Is it sane to host the Grand Slam in Australia?
Tony Khan sticks to his big vision with the business for the next year. Keeping aside all the negativity, the AEW Boss keeps on highlighting what new doors the new year will open for the promotion’s growth and the opportunity to foster. But his puffing up has a very slim real ground. As it turns out, the lower attendance of the PLEs has been a consistent issue for AEW. Even in the most gracious (As Khan claimed) All-In tonight, tons of empty seats were spotted behind the tarped-off section of the arena.

Now, in this position, hosting several stadium shows next year with the Grand Slam amending from Brisbane, Australia might not be a wise call as AEW has their largest fan base on the UK belt. Australian crowds have also been known to disappoint the WWE Universe in the past. So, even if AEW was at its peak, Australia would make a pretty controversial location to shoot for.
