Can AEW and NJPW's collaboration at Forbidden Door 2025 outshine WWE's biggest events?

As you are all aware, AEW Forbidden Door emerged as a monumental PPV in regards to AEW. The pro wrestling faithful have witnessed several dream matches as a result of the event’s creation. NJPW’s collaboration with AEW provides us with one of the finest wrestling events on the wrestling calendar. The event was a complete success every time it happened and this year could be no different. The Florida-based promotion appears to have already provided us with details regarding next year’s event, so what are we waiting for? Let’s get started.

Tony Khan has made several brave decisions in order to take the firm to the worldwide level, and it appears that he has done so again. AEW is planning to take their huge AEW Forbidden Door event to London next year. The most important aspect of the event is that the promotion is laying the groundwork now demonstrating Khan’s efforts to propel itself in stature and prestige. The event right now is planned to take place on 24th August 2025.

AEW has recently amassed low ratings, but apart from that, the wrestling promotion has done an excellent job promoting AEW All In. One of the biggest shocks from AEW All In was the reveal of the AEW Forbidden Door PPV’s location and fans can’t wait to see what else the promotion has in store for tonight.

AEW has to improve its product because its largest PLE this year has failed to get the company back on track.

AEW Forbidden Door 2024 was supposed to be an event that would help the corporation turn the tides following its rating slump. However, this reality did not pan out since the matches held at the event did not live up to the standard.

Several matches such as the Mistico & Lucha Bros vs. LIJ, Bryan Danielson vs. Shingo Takagi, Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Orange Cassidy, and the TNT Championship Ladder Match did not live up to the billing. The only bout that garnered acclaim was the main event match between Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay. The crowd that attended the event also did not portray much enthusiasm and only came alive for the main event of the night.
