MJF is constantly campaigning against AEW World Champion Jon Moxley. The two of them are supposed to battle it out in the ring on the 5th of September at All Out.

Now, during the latest episode of AEW Dynamite, MJF was justifying the reasons for why he believes the fans deserve better than Jon Moxley.

While he was doing his segment, Moxley’s music hit. To ensure Moxley gets no access to him, MJF sent his people towards the corners of the building. However, Moxley came out via the backstage and attacked him.

Jon Moxley attacks MJF with the Paradigm Shift

Moxley used the paradigm shift and put MJF down. In fact, MJF sold the finish really well.

Honestly, selling the finishes well is a lost art in professional wrestling (Dolph Ziggler is really good at it). It’s evidently clear that the way he sold it helped with providing the illusion of a brutal paradigm shift.

Soon after this, MJF’s campaign manager, Nina, tweeted his condition.

“Candidate Friedman has been rushed to the nearest medical center. Please send us your thoughts and prayers after Dictator Jon’s brutal and unsolicited attack. WE. DESERVE. BETTER. – NINA (campaign manager) #PrayforMJF #MJF2020 #NotMyChampion”

Soon afterwards, MJF’s lawyer called for the ban of Jonathan Moxley’s move. The petition states that Jonathan Moxley’s action could have been prevented. His move can have lasting impacts on wrestlers.

“Let me be clear: the events that transpired last night were preventable. If immediate action isn’t taken, Jonathan Moxley’s behavior could have a lasting impact on my client, your favorite professional wrestler or even your loved ones. My client is calling for a ban of Jonathan Moxley’s move The Paradigm Shift. The sole purpose of this high-risk move (double underhook DDT) is to drive an opponent’s head into the mat. Professional wrestlers on the receiving end of this move are subject to unacceptable levels of risk as it relates to spinal, neck and/or brain injuries.”
