AEW fans are excited about the PPV Dynasty, which has many major titles on the line. Along with that, many feuds will see a new chapter. However, one AEW star, Wardlow, didn’t have a great time ahead of the show, as he was involved in a major car accident. While he got out unharmed, fans question the timing of it and whether this was all part of his storyline with a fellow star. Here is everything you need to know.

The Undisputed Kingdom has been tense since Wardlow could not win the AEW World title from Samoa Joe at AEW Revolution. While he did show up on Dynasty to help Roderick Strong retain his title, so did Adam Cole. Cole was not supposed to be in St. Louis due to his rehabilitation. He underwent a broken ankle surgery, which he suffered at Grand Slam in September 2023. After Strong won, Matt Taven and Mick Bennett brought out Cole in a wheelchair. Fans were surprised to see him at the PPV, but they were shocked when he stood up and walked to the ring.

However, that would not be the end of the surprises. Eagle-eyed fans noticed Cole giving a death stare at Wardlow, who failed to notice it. This was when fans began to connect the dots on the possible cracks emerging within The Undisputed Kingdom. Fueling the speculation were Wardlow’s words after the accident on social media. He wrote, “The devils been doing everything to stop me lately.” While he could’ve been referring to the actual devil, Cole did play the character of the masked Devil in his feud with MJF. This resulted in MJF being backstabbed by Samoa Joe, who won the title off him at World’s End.
No official confirmation exists on whether this was all work or something did happen that resulted in the crash. It would be a bold move by AEW to set up a feud with a car crash. Wardlow was unharmed despite the severity of the crash, and his words on social media have fanned this speculation. The reaction from Cole tonight at Dynasty didn’t help, as fans can feel the tension within the group. Only time will tell if Cole turns on Wardlow. What do you think? Was the crash planned and part of a future storyline? Tell us in the comments.
