The Best in the World returned to WWE at Survivor Series: WarGames last year. Unfortunately, he will not wrestle at WrestleMania after an injury sustained at the Royal Rumble. In the latest report from Fightful Select, fans finally have the answers as to whether Punk’s claim of stopping Perry from the spot leading to the fight was true or not. According to the report, the recounting of the disagreement is apparently true, but it wasn’t all directly related to the glass spot.
The report read, “In relation to the Jack Perry-CM Punk story, we’re told by those in AEW that the issue wasn’t as much that Punk didn’t want the glass to be used. Instead it was that Punk had recounted the story to media and talent to the point to where the disagreement went public, after he’d had similar grievances in the past. We’re told that his recounting of the original disagreement was accurate.”

Well, it surely looks like Punk was right about the disagreements. However, this wasn’t the only reason he decided to quit Tony Khan’s promotion. In his latest interview with Ariel Helwani, Punk revealed several other instances that led to the buildup, including how AEW Collision was actually created especially for him to separate him from the Elite. Tony Khan had no intention of granting him the release.
Punk recounts the buildup to the departure and other things AEW
Interviewed on Ariel Helwani’s podcast, CM Punk revealed several curiosities about his return to AEW and subsequent departure last summer. The Second City Saint talked about AEW All In: London, starting with some issues well before the PPV was staged. In fact, Punk revealed that there were quite a few problems with transport. As no one came to pick him up in London as soon as he landed at the airport, this forced him to take the subway. Punk accused AEW of incompetence for neglecting such a basic detail before an event on foreign soil.

He also called Tony Khan a bad boss because of the gross incompetence shown before, during, and after All In, as well as his undeniable lack of leadership.
