With AEW's ratings slump, is WWE's dominance under Triple H now unquestionable?

Triple H has taken the reins from Vince McMahon and paved the way for a new era of the WWE. As a result, the pro wrestling faithful has witnessed many changes. The company’s new Chief Content officer adjusted everything about the product to meet the needs of its followers. Furthermore, several elements are far superior in WWE now, which is why the organization has accomplished far more than its predecessor, AEW.

AEW has emerged as the WWE’s closest competition. Nevertheless, the gap between the two wrestling promotions remains large. One topic that has arisen throughout this comparison is what WWE is doing to increase its popularity. The answer to this topic may have been discovered when the topic came up on the Bryan and The Vinny Show on the F4WOnline YouTube channel.

The hosts suggested that WWE’s approach to storytelling differs from that of AEW. Triple H frequently exploits real-life situations to incriminate them in the product, whereas AEW abruptly ends the plot. CM Punk and Drew McIntyre’s rivalry was also mentioned during this statement since it was one of Triple H’s greatest works in recent months.

It was stated on the latest edition of the show, “You know, this is one of the big differences between WWE and AEW and that is that in AEW when someone gets hurt, the storyline just stops. It just stops. Like, they’re off TV until they can come back. See, when Punk got hurt in January and him and Drew continued their feud for eight months. When they first got in the ring and stared each other down, this f**king place was going crazy. Like, finally we’re gonna see these guys fight. That tells you what a great job they did with this story.”

Seeing how The Game has been working to grow the company it seems like this is just a start as more plans are in the pipeline.

Triple H has even larger ambitions for WWE in the future

The Game has accomplished so much for the Stanford-based organization thus far, but it appears that he is far from finished. Triple H is now planning to incorporate several PLEs to be conducted on foreign soil. This would allow the Stamford-based promotion to expand its global reach. Perhaps, HHH took inspiration from the phenomenal success that AEW has recorded in markets such as the UK. Just like this, The Game may be aiming to take the A-tier PLEs to the world after introducing a few PLEs such as Backlash, Clash at the Castle, etc.
