Tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite saw the reveal of Chris Jericho‘s next opponent at Double or Nothing for the FTW Championship, Will Ospreay and Orange Cassidy facing Roderick Strong and Trent Beretta, and talents such as Jon Moxley, Swerve Strickland, Kyle O’Reilly, or Bryan Danielson also being a part of the show. This makes it very tough for one to keep their eyes off these huge names when they appear on the ring. However, there is one exception when it comes to stealing attention.
And that is if someone from the audience manages to do something whacky. And that is what happened in the latest edition of Dynamite, as a diss toward AEW made its way to the broadcast.

During the broadcast of tonight’s episode of Dynamite, Konosuke Takeshita, accompanied by Don Callis, went head-to-head against Matt Sydal. And it took Takeshita no time to defeat Sydal. However, while he celebrated his win, a fan behind him held a sign that read, “Triple H is your daddy.” A diss toward AEW and Tony Khan as WWE is seemingly at its best phase after years. All while the Jacksonville-based promotion is struggling to attract viewership. And the fact that AEW forgot to edit this out proves that they are lacking behind the WWE in terms of attention to detail. Despite the AEW head honcho’s attempts at trying to manage everything by himself.

This would surely piss off Tony Khan. A man who is taking this rivalry too seriously. Way more than the legendary WCW or ECW ever did. There were recent reports that he even stopped his wrestlers from watching a PPV held by the Stamford-based promotion.

It is public knowledge that Tony Khan takes competition with WWE very seriously. And he has no special appreciation for the company. He himself has confirmed this in the past, comparing WWE to Harvey Weinstein and stating that his problem with the company is a “personal” thing. However, until now, his actions have been limited to statements and comments in the media and social networks.
But on Keepin’ It 100, Konnan talked about the issues he had with Tony Khan after Dragon Lee and Dralistico became Tag Team Champions by defeating FTR, who were wrestling in AAA under a collaboration with AEW. Khan’s annoyance arose when Lee signed with WWE the next day. Konnan also revealed that, at one point, the AEW president decided to ban AEW wrestlers and workers from watching the Royal Rumble 2023 PLE. Cody Rhodes got his first win after returning from a long injury. It had never previously been mentioned that Tony Khan would try to ban his workers from enjoying a WWE event. This information is quite curious and does not leave Tony Khan in a particularly good light when it comes to his rivalry with WWE. What do you think? Did Khan actually stop his wrestlers from watching the show? What did you make of the fan sign at the AEW show? Let us know in the comments.
