Chad Gable‘s contract with WWE expired on Friday, June 7. The fighter ended his contractual agreement with the company on Friday. Even though Gable’s contract ended with the WWE on June 7. But the fact that he is scheduled to face Sami Zayn at Clash at the Castle on the 15th suggests that, at the very least, both parties have reached an agreement or that his contract has been automatically extended due to injuries or time off. This makes it complicated for Tony Khan, as according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW is not legally allowed to make an offer until Gable’s WWE deal expires. And despite the fact that Gable does have key people in AEW, there is no one to push him toward the Tony Khan-led promotion.

Meltzer added that Gable had received a very good renewal offer from WWE. Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, too, has confirmed AEW’s interest in him. But so far, Sapp has no update on how negotiations between the wrestler and WWE have gone. But so far, there has been no indication that Chad Gable will leave WWE. Gable, 38, began his WWE journey in 2013. Right after signing a developmental contract following his standout career as an amateur wrestler and a brief stint on the independent circuit. Gable has managed to win the WWE Raw, SmackDown, and NXT tag team titles so far, and now he is all geared up to face Sami Zayn for another title.

On Monday Night RAW, after Maxxine Dupri and the rest of Alpha Academy conveyed a message to Sami Zayn, the champion agreed to face Chad Gable on June 15 at Clash at the Castle with the Intercontinental Championship at stake. The Alpha Academy members seem to be on the verge of abandoning Chad Gable, though he still seems to trust them.
