Is Tony Khan's decision to air MJF vs. Will Ospreay on free TV a genius move or a blunder?

In a bout that left fans on the edge of their seats, MJF and Will Ospreay faced off in a battle full of excitement and impressive maneuvers that lasted more than an hour. From acrobatic moves to ingenious tactics, both wrestlers proved why they are among the best in the world of wrestling. Near the climax of the match, both wrestlers went all around the arena. Getting hit by the audience and even performing high-flying moves, including MJF delivering a devastating elbow drop on Ospreay on a table at ringside. Despite the continuous exchange of maneuvers, neither managed to maintain the advantage for long.

The end of the match approached, with both superstars exhausted but determined. MJF tried to hit a piledriver from the second rope, but the aerial assassin stopped him with an oscutter followed by a hidden blade. With time running out, MJF used his Diamond Ring to punch Ospreay and get the count of three, securing his victory rather controversially. This was truly a spectacle to watch, something worthy of being a part of a PPV.

So why did Tony Khan decide to make it a part of their weekly show instead? The matchup surely would’ve attracted a major crowd for the Jacksonville-based promotion. Maybe Khan did not trust the quality of the match and decided to let it run on the weekly show. Well, Bully Ray pointed towards the answer on the Busted Open Podcast.
