While the officials might not agree to it, WWE and AEW are always at war when it comes to establishing themselves in the business. WWE has been operating for more than four decades now. AEW, on the other hand, has barely completed half a decade in the industry. Even though AEW is relatively young, still it has established itself. However, no matter how hard AEW and Tony Khan try, they end up losing against WWE, and here is the latest example of it.
Tony Khan and AEW succumbs to defeat at the hands of the WWE once again
As per the viewership reports, last week’s episode of Collision suffered drastically when it came to viewership. The episode had a total viewership of 385,000 viewers and the 18-49 demographic had a rating of 0.11. This is remarkably low compared to the show’s numbers from the February 10 episode.

The viewership for the February 10 episode was 491,000 viewers, with 0.15 in the 18-49 demographic. The main reason that could be attributed to this week’s dip in numbers could be the airing of the WWE Elimination Chamber PLE. However, what is more shocking is that neither Dwayne Johnson nor Roman Reigns played a part in the show.
It has been observed that when either of the two is announced for a show, there is an increase in the viewership. The prime example was from the 02/09 episode of SmackDown where neither Johnson nor Reigns appeared on the show. This led to a drop in the viewership.
While Tony Khan might be hurt due to the drop in viewership numbers, he has made a massive change to Dynamite.
AEW Dynamite gets a revamp
In a clip posted online by AEW, the promotion accidentally revealed the new logo of their weekly show, Dynamite. The logo, which is usually in bold format with a plain font style, is now changed to a stylized one. Apart from that, the new logo has a hint of orange and blue to it, resembling a flame. This could be something in line with the show’s explosive nature.

Many fans believe that this reveal emerged as a pure accident, as the purpose of the video is entirely different. The clip was posted to announce that the previously scheduled Dynamite and Rampage show at Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg will now be held on May 1, 2024, instead of the previously announced date of April 10, 2024. While it is yet to be seen whether the logo reveal was an accident or not, how do you think AEW could salvage themselves from this drop in viewership?
